Remember: On The Day of The Walk
The Buddy Walk® was created by the National Down Syndrome Society in 1995 to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. The Buddy Walk has grown from 17 walks in 1995 to over 300 walks last year, raising over $13 million dollars to benefit local programs and services, as well as the national advocacy initiatives of NDSS that benefit all individuals with Down syndrome.
Ways you can help
Volunteer at The Buddy Walk
We still need volunteers to help with setup, registration, greeters, activities (post-walk), food pick up, road marshalls, food tent help, cleanup and breakdown.
*Volunteer hours may be used to satisfy Brevard County Public School requirements for students.
Start raising money for the 2017 Buddy Walk at our First Giving page. Last year we raised a record $42,000 and we're hoping to do even better this year so we can help even more people this year.
